#MANIFESTARTE

For this reason, the need to reclaim urban spaces, which have long remained empty, becomes ever stronger. The project consists in the display of artistic posters using the panels used for advertising events, festivals, concerts in the city of Pisa, given their temporary uselessness due to covid-19.

The idea comes to life in the wake of the initiative carried out by an anonymous artistic collective from Livorno who has posted "abusively" artistic posters on the panels intended for advertising. The intent is to make this initiative public and collective (free), trying to involve the greatest number of artists.

The theme is free. The artists who want to participate must send photos of three signed 2d works (paintings, drawings, graphics, photos.) That they want to post, in jpeg / DPI 300 format, to the email manifestidarte@gmail.com (specifying name, surname, title of the work, original dimensions, technique used) by 10 June 2020 at 23:59.

The fourth classes of the Liceo Artistico of Pisa and the artists of the Italian Association of Down People of Pisa will participate in the project. The posters will be posted on a 100x140 cm panel, therefore it is advisable to send works that respect this proportion, to avoid distortions during the printing phase. The selected artists will receive a communication via email and their works will be posted on panels around the city.

The dissemination of the project is primarily attributed to the digital art magazine "Cactus 2.0" of the Franco Russoli State Art School.

In this way it will be possible to denounce the marginalization that the world of art is experiencing, at the same time the project allows to transform the streets and squares of Pisa into a real exhibition space for a collective exhibition. The aim of the initiative is to support local artists in giving voice to their condition at the time of Coronavirus.
